The increase in life expectancy and in the proportion of older people in the society affects everyone. Perception of a mature person in the society is changing, the period of professional and social activity is increasing, new requirements are being imposed to the environment, healthcare and social service systems, and goods and services market.
At the same time, requirements for the environment, healthcare and social service systems, and goods and services market are changing. The society faces new issues. Where is the beginning and the end of the role of the state and individual responsibility? How should the elderly care system look like, and where to get funds for it? How to motivate and employ older people?
The VII Society for All Ages National Conference, the key Russian discussion platform on population aging and quality of life at a mature age, will be devoted to seeking the answers to these and other topical issues.
In 2019, the Conference will be held for the 7th time. Over these years, the topic of the elderly people’s quality of life has stopped being stigmatized. We have started to speak aloud about the old age and problems of the elderly. Many ideas discussed at the Conference have already been implemented. The Strategy of Actions for Older Citizens has been approved, and a long-term care system is being introduced. The tasks of improving older people’s quality of life were declared as the crucial ones in the National Projects on Demography and Healthcare. The mission of the Society for All Ages National Conference is to build a society where nobody is afraid of growing old.
Discussion of the tasks and solutions related to elderly care management – both at the state level (long-term care system, geriatrics), and in the immediate surrounding – in the family and community.
ОDiscussion of individual opportunities and incentives for people to continue an active and healthy life at a mature age, and objectives of the society in creating supportive environment for socialization and self-realization in the old age.
Representatives of the Russian Federation authorities, Russian and foreign experts, representatives of business and scientific community, healthcare, social sector, entrepreneurs, leaders of NGOs, etc.
Social protection and healthcare specialists, representatives of scientific and educational institutions, non-profit organizations, business, the media and everyone who is concerned about the topic of the elderly.
